A French silver-mounted smallsword, ca. 1800 Slender, grooved triangular cutting edge. In the upper third, finely etched and gilded decoration on a blued background. Symmetrical guard, the underside engraved with a scroll motif. The upper side features rich embellishment with diamond-cut decorative rivets. The hilt and pommel feature applied diamond-cut pommels set among cutwork decoration. Length 101 cm. Condition: II +
