A decorative trophy shield, cast iron, Ilsenburg Foundry, circa 1880 A parade helmet with a central relief design and an open visor. Surrounded by slashing and stabbing weapons; screwed onto the back. On the left side, a seated griffin; a weapon is missing below it. On the back, the foundry mark is centered, with a hanging loop above it; there are also multiple sample numbers distributed throughout. Two weapons on the upper left side have repaired breaks; one sword has a broken tip. Height 94 cm. Condition: II -
