A Victorian rondache in the style of 1530–40, Germany, ca. 1900 Heavily domed shield with a central spike, surrounded by a leaf rosette. Fine radial grooving around the perimeter. Distinctly defined rim with circumferential rivets; a strongly flanged and laced break edge. Remnants of old leather covering on the reverse. A modern hanging eyelet soldered to one side. Diameter 57.5 cm. Condition: II
