A German blackened burgonet, ca. 1600 A two-piece crown with a high, flanged crest. A one-piece, tapered, notched eye and neck guard with flanged edges. The neck guard features double hanging holes. Lining rivets with decorative brass rosettes run around the edge. Cheek flaps attached by hinges, each with an ear hole. Height 28 cm. Condition: II
