An Ottoman yatagan, 19th century Typical curved blade with a reinforced spine; a blacksmith’s mark stamped on one side. Embossed brass blade guard and guard rail; chips on the blade guard and pommel. Riveted horn grip scales. Later, velvet-lined scabbard (tear on the left side) with finely embossed brass fittings and two carrying loops. Length 77 cm. Condition: II -
