Pair of large Baroque angels Southern German, 18th century, carved from lime wood, primed with chalk, painted and richly gilded, a pair of fully three-dimensional figures, semi-nude and designed as pendants, draped in voluminous, flowing cloths, facing away from one another and displaying expressive body language, the paintwork later overpainted, signs of age, loss of material, height approx. 83 cm each.
