QUENEAU (Raymond). Les Ziaux. Paris, NRF - Gallimard, Métamorphoses Collection, 1943. In-8, sea-green morocco, smooth spine, author’s name and title in gold lettering, covers preserved. First edition. Press copy bearing an E.A.S. from the author to Roland TUAL: “amical / and belated—forgive me / homage.” A fine copy. (Roland Tual (1902–1956) was a producer and director; he married, in his second marriage, the producer and director Denise Piazza, also known as Denise Tual. Very close to the Surrealists, he was a friend of the painter André Masson in the 1920s.)
