Large in-8, green half-chagrin with corners, decorated spine, gilt title, gilt edges, untrimmed (19th century binding). li-(1) pp. (fx-title, title, preface, characters and dress of the play, approbation, licence to print), 199 pp. (1) p. (approbation). Without the rare errata leaf. Reprint of the original edition, printed in Kehl with 5 fine engraved figures after SAINT-QUENTIN. A few small marginal brown spots on the plates, otherwise a very fine copy, with a frontispiece portrait of the author (later) engraved by Tardieu after Saint-Aubin (Tchemerzine II, 16).
