DORÉ (Gustave), 1832–1883. Autograph letter signed “G. Doré,” no date, ½ p., in-8: “My dear, as if by design, I have to be out this morning from 10 a.m. to noon. I’m rushing to let you know and ask you to postpone your visit until tomorrow morning; or, if you’d prefer, come at noon today—we’ll have lunch and then get to work. [...] "" Accompanied by his former certificate of export for cultural property from the Ministry of Culture. Enclosed is a letter from the same author, undated, 1 p. in-12, in which he thanks the sender and accepts the invitation (inserted afterward into an envelope postmarked 10/7/1887, addressed to Mr. Geffroy, 88 rue de Belleville).
