A large Russian icon showing Christ Emanuel and ten saints, late 19th century Wooden panel with two profiled sponki on the reverse (one lost). Tempera on chalk ground. Horizontal division into two registers, each with five saints, including Constantine, Samon, Gurij, Aviv, Niphont, Anastasia and Daria. Christ Emmanuel appears at the upper edge of the picture. Very finely worked background in raffia look. Ornamentally decorated border area. Small losses. Dimensions 44 x 37 cm. Condition: II
