A large stoneware jug with an English coat of arms, Langerwehe, 17th century Dark brown engobed, salt-glazed stoneware. A bulbous, ribbed body resting on a wavy foot with a flat base; a short, tapered neck tapering into a trefoil-shaped opening. An oval medallion bearing the English coat of arms (Queen Elizabeth I, 1558–1603) is set beneath the spout. Fluted handle. Foot chipped. Glaze defects. Height: 51 cm Condition: II
