A Large High Relief with Two Nudes, mid-20th century Plaster, finished in bronze, with dark brown and gray-green accents. A tall, rectangular high relief depicting a male and a female nude, standing close together in nearly parallel, elongated poses, their heads tilted toward one another. The relief background and figures show distinct modeling and tool marks. The patina on the raised areas is worn in places and chipped off in small areas, with scratch marks and isolated light-colored deposits. A fine crack runs through the area of the figures. In the lower left corner, there is a pronounced fracture line extending along the left edge for approximately 30 cm and along the bottom edge for approximately 26 cm; the corner area delimited by this fracture is unstable and requires stabilization. Corners and edges show further chipping and minor breakouts. Dimensions approx. 75 × 49 × 20 cm. Provenance: Estate of the Himmelstoss family. Please note: Pickup only, or please request a shipping quote before the auction! Condition: II -
