“Fruit Still Life with Bumblebee and Butterfly,” Hildegard Schwammberger (Essen 1950 – 2024 Passau) Oil on wood. Signed “Schwammberger” lower left; the initial “S” is in the shape of a treble clef. Fruit still life featuring grapes, peaches, plums, and berries on a draped cloth, complemented by flowers, a bumblebee, and a butterfly. Surface shows scattered fine scratches and scuff marks, as well as small, light-colored deposits. Frame shows signs of rubbing and scratches; the gilded inner molding is worn. Painting dimensions: 24 × 30 cm; frame dimensions: 42 × 48 × 2.5 cm. Schwammberger is particularly known for her delicately glazed flower and fruit still lifes in the tradition of Dutch still-life painting. Condition: I–II
