Terracotta. 22 x 20 x 14 cm. Casazza-Moretti, p. 29/83. Signature carved on the back of the figure, countersigned in pencil inside the sculpture. The work depicts Giotto, the sculptor’s son, born in March 1902, who has been the subject of countless exhibitions in Livorno, Florence, and Venice. The few versions in bronze, terracotta, and plaster are all signed and traceable among collectors; however, there were many reproductions and copies made by Armando Ciampi, Alimondo’s brother, who produced several unsigned examples intended for the American market. The sculpture is accompanied by the catalog *Alimondo Ciampi – Sculptor*, in which this work is featured. (2) Sold with a non-attached wooden base. In excellent condition.
