Countersigned, counter-monogrammed, and dedicated “to Maria Baldracchi / cordially / Pietro Annigoni Cttt” on the reverse of the support. The work was exhibited and published in the catalog *Pietro Annigoni—Painter of Magnificent Intellect*, published in 2023, edited by Emanuele Barletti with an essay by Vittorio Sgarbi. The catalog was produced for the exhibition held at the Granai of Villa Mimbelli in Livorno that same year. The work was subsequently exhibited in 2025 at the “INVITATIONS—International Invitational Exhibition and Academic Forum on Contemporary Tempera” in Beijing, where it was also used as one of the promotional banners. (1) In a fine wooden frame with anti-reflective glass: 50.5 x 40.5 cm. Some whitish stains along the upper edge with minor flaking along the lower edge. Overall in good condition.
