In 1817, Agostino Fantastici provided the plans for the extensive renovation of Palazzo Griffoli in Lucignano, likely on the occasion of the property’s transfer to Francesco Arrighi. The project is illustrated in five plates, including the floor plans of the ground floor and first floor, the longitudinal and transverse sections, the drawing of the new staircase, and the new bathroom. The renovation aimed to give the residence a more elegant character and greater living comfort, in line with the needs of the new owners. The project is mentioned in item 2 of the *Catalog of Major Works Designed and Executed by Me, Agostino Fantastici*, included at the end of the *Vocabulary of Architecture Compiled by Me, Agostino Fantastici* (Siena, Biblioteca comunale degli Intronati, Bargagli Petrucci ms. 2). These five plates were displayed at the exhibition “Agostino Fantastici. Sienese Architect 1782–1845, held in Siena at the Magazzini del sale in the Palazzo Pubblico from September 25 to November 15, 1992; for details, see the catalog entries edited by Carlo Cresti, Turin: Allemandi, 1992.
