A Renaissance ceramic stove tile with the Judgement of Solomon Green glazed tile with a recessed scene within a moulded frame, with acanthus leaves at the corners. The king is enthroned beneath a shell canopy, flanked by two soldiers; before him are the women, the child and the soldier holding a sword. Damage to the edges, presumably from being dismounted from the stove. In a modern ebonised wooden frame, height 39 cm, width 29 cm. Germany, late 16th C.
