Unsigned plate with the title centered at the bottom margin and a legend with six references running from left to right; the address and price are in the lower right corner. Proof in the third state of seven, prior to the erasure of the price, on laid paper with a watermark of “a lily flower within a double circle surmounted by the letters CB” (Robison, 39). (1) Copy with margins likely as originally cut. Sheet with numerous tears within the composition, some several millimeters long; defects repaired by relining with Japan paper. Some areas of abrasion on the recto; the text with the publication details in the lower right corner is barely legible. Minimal loss at the upper right corner.
