Long necklace in a twisted cord design alternating with rectangular gold links featuring Chinese-style openwork and lapis lazuli links. Small box clasp with figure-of-eight safety catch. Large multi-lobed, curved disc pendant with double-sided figurative Chinese-style relief decoration on a hatched, textured ground. Depicting a temple beneath a blossoming cherry tree, with an applied Buddha carved from lapis lazuli and a veiltail fish carved from jade, set with 16 rubies, an opal and an emerald cabochon. Reverse with a dragon-bird motif set with sapphires and rubies. Hallmarks: Fineness 18K. Pendant diameter 6.5 cm. Chain length 83 cm. Total weight 161.84 g. Possibly China, 1970s.
