Jean Després A French gold plated silver onyx and Mediterranian coral Art Déco Ring. Technically inspired ring with stepped, ribbed and moulded shoulders. Rectangular bezel set in gold with an orange Mediterranean coral (Corallium rubrum) plaque, flanked by two domed onyx bars. Hallmarks: Small Paris guarantee mark for silver fineness 800, “tête de sanglier”, used since 1838 (Tardy, Silver, 199), maker’s mark “JD”. Bezel 1.5 × 2.4 cm. Ring size 54. Weight 15.44 g.
