A 14k yellow gold coloured gemstone and foiled rose-cut diamond bouquet brooch. Naturalistic design with a large rose blossom and bow, closed-set with approximately 170 shallowly cut foil-backed rose-cut diamonds (central stone approx. 6.94 × 7.08 mm), accented with two small emeralds and four rubies. Possibly originally a tremble brooch, with the brooch fitting replaced. Not hallmarked. The replaced brooch mount attached with tin solder. 8.9 × 5.0 cm. Weight 40.64 g. Second half 19th century.
