Crafted from a combination of marble and bronze, partially gilded and silver-plated. It features large figures representing Vestal Virgins, in the style of caryatids, on the candelabra. The clock has a marble dial with Roman numerals, signed by Ferdinand Barbedienne. The candelabra are signed by Louis Valentin Elias Robert, and the central figure bears the foundry mark of A. Collas. Clock dimensions: 74 x 41 x 20 cm. Candelabra dimensions: 80 x 28 cm.
