Kenia, Kamba Stehende männliche Figur, Ende 19. / Anfang 20. Jh. Holz, Metall, Miniaturperlen Sockel Die Kamba konzentrierten ihre Schnitzkünste traditionell auf Gebrauchsobjekte. Die ersten figürlichen Schnitzereien können auf einen Mann namens "Mutisya Munge" zurückgeführt werden. Er trat 1914 der Armee bei und begann zu dieser Zeit auch Schnitzereien von Askaris und Afrikanern in traditionellen Gewändern herzustellen, um sie an Europäer zu verkaufen.
