Chateau Latour 2010, 6 bottle Bottle conditions : 1x6 bottle banded owc (not in bond VAT not paid) All condition and packaging abbreviations (e.g., owc, ts, lbsl, etc.) are given in their original English form. Refer to our catalog for an explanation of these abbreviations. Wine notes: "...is a liquid skyscraper in the mouth, building layers upon layers of extravagant, if not over-the-top richness with its hints of subtle charcoal, truffle, blackberry, cassis, espresso and notes of toast and graphite. Full-bodied, with wonderfully sweet tannin, it is a mind-boggling, prodigious achievement that should hit its prime in about 15 years, and last for 50 to 100."(100pts) Provenance: The P.V.S.R. Collection: Fine Wines from a Geneva Cellar. A discerning Geneva collector with an independent eye, P.V.S.R. has never been content simply to assemble the finest Burgundy and Bordeaux, though he holds them in abundance. His curiosity has always led him further, toward the oldest Madeiras, some of the most ancient Jura wines in existence, and the rarest California bottles of the 1960s. Now he shares two hundred ninety-two lots with us. Bordeaux sets a regal tone with the 1961 vintage, including three bottles of Ausone, six of Haut-Brion, and five of Lafite. Burgundy is the heart of the offering, with more than two hundred lots, led by Roumier with twenty-nine lots reaching back to three bottles of 1970 Bonnes-Mares, alongside Domaine Bizot, Domaine Trapet, and six magnums of 1999 Prieuré-Roch Chambertin Clos de Bèze. Champagne pours three bottles of 1961 Dom Pérignon, and the finale belongs to Madeira, with four lots of 1862 D. Bolger Malvasia and Terrantez. All bottles stored in pristine conditions at Au Bonheur du Vin, Acker’s preferred and recommended professional storage in Geneva. Refer to original catalog header sections for additional information on provenance when available.
