Ulysse Collin Champagne, NV Les Roises, 3 bottle Bottle conditions : disgorged in March 2021, 1x3 bottle ocb (not in bond VAT not paid) All condition and packaging abbreviations (e.g., owc, ts, lbsl, etc.) are given in their original English form. Refer to our catalog for an explanation of these abbreviations. Wine notes: "Collin's NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Les Roises No. 25 is beautiful rich and so expressive. Light tropical notes, pastry, spice and yellow orchard fruit notes give the Roises an intriguing exotic profile that comes through beautifully in the glass. This release, No. 25, spent 48 months on the lees. The richness and texture from the added time in the cellar works beautifully for this wine, which is naturally on the creamier side."(95pts VM) Provenance: The Cellar of a Swiss Entrepreneur: We are delighted to welcome back this successful Swiss entrepreneur and friend of the house with one hundred twenty-seven nearly pristine lots, much of it in original packaging. Bordeaux opens with a magnum of 1961 La Mission Haut-Brion and a case of 2000 Lafite, while Lafleur spans a case of 1983 to the more recent 2022 and 2023. Burgundy belongs to Rousseau and DRC: Rousseau Chambertin in full twelve-bottle OCBs of 2010, 2015, and 2016, and Romanée-Conti in six selections from 2016 through 2021. Domaine Leflaive dominates White Burgundy with eleven lots, led by 2009 Montrachet. All wines meticulously acquired, expertly stored, and generally in outstanding condition. Refer to original catalog header sections for additional information on provenance when available.
