2018 Raveneau, Chablis, Butteaux, 6 bottle Bottle conditions : 1x6 bottle ocb (not in bond VAT paid) All condition and packaging abbreviations (e.g., owc, ts, lbsl, etc.) are given in their original English form. Refer to our catalog for an explanation of these abbreviations. Wine notes: "A very fresh and slightly riper is not quite as elegant and airy as the Montmains though there is excellent Chablis character and plenty of mineral reduction. The sleek if more muscular medium-bodied flavors are definitely more tightly coiled while displaying very good power and punch on the chiseled, bone dry and impressively lengthy finish. Lovely stuff that is also built to reward a decade plus of keeping."(93pts VM) Provenance: The Cellar of a Swiss Entrepreneur: We are delighted to welcome back this successful Swiss entrepreneur and friend of the house with one hundred twenty-seven nearly pristine lots, much of it in original packaging. Bordeaux opens with a magnum of 1961 La Mission Haut-Brion and a case of 2000 Lafite, while Lafleur spans a case of 1983 to the more recent 2022 and 2023. Burgundy belongs to Rousseau and DRC: Rousseau Chambertin in full twelve-bottle OCBs of 2010, 2015, and 2016, and Romanée-Conti in six selections from 2016 through 2021. Domaine Leflaive dominates White Burgundy with eleven lots, led by 2009 Montrachet. All wines meticulously acquired, expertly stored, and generally in outstanding condition. Refer to original catalog header sections for additional information on provenance when available.
