Screaming Eagle Cabernet Sauvignon 1996, 1 bottle Bottle conditions : (not in bond VAT not paid) All condition and packaging abbreviations (e.g., owc, ts, lbsl, etc.) are given in their original English form. Refer to our catalog for an explanation of these abbreviations. Wine notes: "...reveals lots of structure, an opaque purple color, and the hallmark blackberry and cassis liqueur-like notes. Silky-textured, fabulously-concentrated, and gorgeously-balanced, it has every component part - acidity, alcohol, tannin, and extract - flawlessly presented."(98pts) Provenance: Swiss Savoir-Faire: Blue-Chip Bordeaux and Burgundy. A renowned Swiss collector, with many thousands of bottles in reserve, shares seventy-six lots of blue-chip Bordeaux and Burgundy, much of it in original packaging. Margaux is the backbone of the Bordeaux, with full cases of 1994 and 1998 and nine magnums of 2005 in banded OWCs, joined by a magnum of 1961 Lafite and two bottles of 1937 d’Yquem. In Burgundy, Rousseau delivers twelve bottles of 1999 Ruchottes-Chambertin Clos des Ruchottes before DRC takes center stage with three-magnum banded OWCs of 2006 and 2007 La Tâche and a 2006 Romanée-Conti. Seven lots of Coche-Dury shine among the whites. All wines removed from professional storage. Refer to original catalog header sections for additional information on provenance when available.
