Chateau Latour 1959, 1 bottle Bottle conditions : ts, bsl, cuc, outstanding color and condition (not in bond VAT not paid) All condition and packaging abbreviations (e.g., owc, ts, lbsl, etc.) are given in their original English form. Refer to our catalog for an explanation of these abbreviations. Wine notes: "The palate is still unerringly youthful with vibrant black fruit, fabulous purity and multi-layered black fruit laced with sea salt and just a touch of liquorice towards the never-ending finish. "(100pts VM) Provenance: Bouchard Père et Fils La Romanée: We are pleased to present five distinguished lots showcasing Bouchard Père et Fils La Romanée. Six bottles of 1984 in OWC are joined by two magnums each of 1984 and 1992, also in original wood, from the era when Bouchard raised and sold La Romanée under its arrangement with the Liger-Belair family. At just 0.85 hectares, La Romanée is the smallest Grand Cru appellation in the Côte d’Or and sits directly above Romanée-Conti. A 1959 Latour and a magnum of 1959 Bouchard Aîné Musigny add two more gems from a great vintage. All wines removed from professional storage. Refer to original catalog header sections for additional information on provenance when available.
