2017 Domaine Leflaive, Batard Montrachet, 1 bottle Bottle conditions : nl, (in bond) All condition and packaging abbreviations (e.g., owc, ts, lbsl, etc.) are given in their original English form. Refer to our catalog for an explanation of these abbreviations. Wine notes: "The 2017 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru unfurls in the glass with a reticent bouquet of lemon rind, citrus, hazelnut cream, white flowers and mandarin oil. On the palate, it's full-bodied, both denser and blockier than the Bienvenues-Bâtard, with exceptional concentration, tangy acids and a long finish. Today, the wine is only partially formed, but it's immensely promising. Pierre Vincent told me that it attained 12.8% natural alcohol, but despite that rather modest degree for a grand cru white Burgundy, it displays plenty of power and substance."(94-96pts) Provenance: A Trio of White Burgundy Grand Crus: Three tremendous selections of top-flight White Burgundy feature Coche-Dury Corton-Charlemagne from 2014 and 2016 alongside 2017 Leflaive Bâtard-Montrachet. Three lots, two legendary domaines! All wines properly stored. Refer to original catalog header sections for additional information on provenance when available.
