Wine notes: " It is bricked through to the rim and demonstrates a quasi-Burgundy nose with loam-tinged red fruit that is wonderfully defined."(90pts VM) Provenance: Ancient Latour and a Jayer Jewel: Small in number but enormous in history, these eleven lots hold some of the oldest and rarest bottles in the sale! Latour opens a window onto the nineteenth century with two single bottles of 1892, followed by two bottles of 1902 and a 1906, while a 1917 Lagrange adds another early twentieth-century survivor. The centerpiece is a bottle of 1959 Henri Jayer Richebourg, reconditioned by Henri Jayer himself. Its provenance traces back to the private collection of his daughter, Lydie Jayer, and it was purchased at auction by this collector in 2021. Four bottles of 1992 Boisson-Vadot Meursault Les Genevrières lead into a cult favorite from the Jura: Houillon-Overnoy Arbois Pupillin Vin Jaune from 1983, 1985, 1988, and 1999, each in its traditional 62cl clavelin. A rare chance to hold history in your hands! Refer to original catalog header sections for additional information on provenance when available.
