Auction start time: approx. 12:57 p.m. (Schedule subject to change) In 1927, Willi Baumeister designed advertisements and various promotional printed materials for Deutsche Linoleum-Werke AG, which was formed in 1926 through the merger of five German companies. Letterhead is not documented in either Spielmann or Kermer; however, see the note in Kermer, Cat. No. 60, regarding the sparse archival evidence. - An alternative design to the previous sample (see the previous catalog no.) and similarly “Bauhaus-like”: set entirely in uppercase, printed in red and black. The list of companies still contains two typesetting errors, which leads us to believe this is a proof. - In impeccable condition.
