Announcement time: approx. 12:22 p.m. (Schedule subject to change) As early as 1934, Karl Knappe had created a wooden sculpture of St. Christopher. — Karl Knappe (1884–1970) lived and worked in Munich beginning in 1912. In 1937, his works were confiscated as “degenerate”; his “Hagar” figure, which had disappeared at that time, was part of the “Berlin Sculpture Find” in 2010.
