407 - Antique Blended Majolica Drip-Glaze Jardiniere 20th century Artist/Designer/Manufacturer: Unidentified American Art Pottery Maker Materials: Earthenware / Glazed Ceramic Marking(s): Unmarked Cataloguer's Note: This piece exhibits a distinct Arts & Crafts era design, heavily defined by its compressed bulbous body, bold vertical ribbing, and highly flared rim. The exterior features a classic two-tone blended glaze application where a vibrant turquoise-green overglaze has been intentionally dripped and pooled over a dark brown manganese base. The uneven glaze flow purposefully exposes patches of the dark, textured under-layer to simulate a rustic, organic antiqued finish typical of commercial American art pottery from the 1910s to the 1930s H 6" x Diameter 6.375"
