Russian Imperial Easter World War I Holiday Post Card c.1915–1917, Russian Artist/Designer/Manufacturer: Unknown, Imperial Russia, Circa 1915–1917. Marking(s); notes: Reverse bears printed postcard headings in Cyrillic and additional lettering, a handwritten Easter greeting beginning with the traditional Russian Orthodox phrase "Christ is Risen!" in pre-reform Russian script, and a circular purple military verification stamp reportedly identifying the 13th Artillery Regiment or training detachment. Exact transcription of the postal and military markings remains unverified. Materials: Color-printed postcard on paper with handwritten ink inscription and military stamp. Cataloger Note: Antique World War I-era Russian Imperial Easter postcard combining Orthodox religious symbolism with patriotic military imagery. The central illustration depicts a bearded Russian soldier wearing a gray military overcoat and drinking water from his field cap, with a battlefield cemetery and Orthodox grave crosses in the background. The scene is enclosed within a decorative Art Nouveau-style oval border, accented by diamond-shaped panels containing a cross-form monogram and a stylized letter "B."
