Testamatta, 2001. Magnum (1.5 L), I.G.T. Toscana, Fiesole, Florence, Italy. Red wine. 1 1.5-liter Magnum bottle. With its original wooden box. Opened for inspection. Condition: The bottle is filled to the neck (IN). Original orange wax capsule, complete and still in place, though it shows superficial cracking without significant loss of material. Original main label, intact, well-adhered, and fully legible, featuring Bibi Graetz’s characteristic pictorial composition. Shows slight signs of wear. Comes with its original wooden box, bearing the name of the wine and the producer. It comes from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Testamatta is the flagship wine of Bibi Graetz, a Florentine producer who has established himself as a leading figure in contemporary Tuscan viticulture. Made from Sangiovese grapes sourced from selected vineyards—some of which are remarkably old—it represents a personal interpretation of this variety, focused on the expression of the terroir and the rigorous selection of the grapes. The 2001 vintage dates back to the early stages of the project’s development and is of particular interest due to its connection to the origins of a label that would later achieve widespread international recognition. The Magnum-sized bottle, accompanied by its original wooden box, enhances its appeal to collectors of fine Italian wines.
