Sotanum, 2000. Seyssuel, Rhône Valley, France. Red wine. 1 bottle, 75 cl. Comes with a wooden box from Les Vins de Vienne. Condition: 1 cm of wine remaining below the cork. Original cream-colored capsule, featuring the producer’s emblem, intact with slight signs of aging. Main label complete and legible, with slight stains and minor damage along the bottom edge. Original back label with age-related stains, especially along the edges. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Sotanum is one of the most distinctive wines from the northern Rhône Valley and represents the revival of a wine-growing region with an extraordinary historical tradition. Produced by Les Vins de Vienne, a project founded by three leading figures in French winemaking—Yves Cuilleron, Pierre Gaillard, and François Villard— this wine was born out of the ambition to restore prestige to the ancient vineyards of Seyssuel, whose roots date back to Roman times. Its name evokes precisely the winemaking tradition of this enclave, renowned since antiquity for the quality of its wines. The 2000 vintage belongs to the early years of this pioneering project’s consolidation, a fact that enhances its historical significance and appeal to collectors. Its association with three winemakers of internationally recognized prestige, combined with its origin in a region reclaimed for high-quality viticulture, makes this bottle a noteworthy addition to the great wines of the Rhône.
