Barolo, Alessandro Giovanni, 1992. D.O.C.G. Barolo, Piedmont, Italy. Red wine. 1 bottle of 300 cl (double magnum). Condition: 5 cm of wine remaining under the cork. The red capsule seal is intact, with minor tears and missing sections along the lower edges. The paper tax band across the top shows stains, wrinkles, tears, and signs of aging, though it remains attached. The main label is intact and legible, with slight stains, a yellowish tint, and subtle signs of storage. The back label is in a similar condition. It comes from a private collection cellar, maintained under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Barolo is one of Italy’s most prestigious appellations and one of the great historical landmarks of European wine. Located in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, its winemaking tradition is distinguished by the production of wines intended for long aging and recognized for their aging potential—qualities that have cemented its international reputation. This bottle from the 1992 vintage, associated with the town of La Morra, represents an interesting example of traditional Barolo production from the late 20th century. Its main appeal lies in its 300 cl bottle, a large-capacity format that is rare for bottles of this age.
