Solaia, 2001. I.G.T. Tuscany, Italy. Red wine. 2 bottles of 75 cl. Robert Parker (The Wine Advocate): 96/100. Condition: BN (Base Neck) on both bottles. Original copper-colored capsules, intact, with slight surface marks. Front labels with stains. One has a vertical tear in the center that does not affect the label’s legibility. Back labels are deteriorated, with paper flaking off. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Solaia is one of Tuscany’s most prestigious wines and one of the flagship wines of the historic Antinori family. It comes from a selected vineyard on the Tignanello estate, located in the heart of Chianti Classico, and is made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon, blended with Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc. Its character combines the concentration and structure of the Bordeaux varieties with the elegance and personality of the Tuscan terroir. The 2001 vintage stands out for its balance, aromatic complexity, and remarkable aging potential. Internationally recognized as one of the great Super Tuscans, Solaia is a wine of particular interest to collectors and enthusiasts of great Italian wines.
