Tenuta dell’Ornellaia, Masseto, 2005. Toscana IGT, Italy. Red wine. 3 bottles of 75 cl. 96/100 Wine Spectator, Decanter 98/100. Condition: Levels: BN (Base Neck). Front labels are complete and legible, with stains and scuffs, most visible along the edges and lower areas. Back labels are legible, with stains and superficial wear. Capsules are intact with slight scuffs. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Masseto 2005 is a Merlot red wine closely linked to the blue clay soils that give the wine its name. The winery describes a gradual ripening process, with a staggered harvest between September 14 and 30 to ensure the various sections of the vineyard reached full maturity.
