Vall Llach, 2001, Magnum (1.5 L). D.O.Q. Priorat, Catalonia, Spain. Red wine. 1 Magnum bottle of 1,500 ml. Condition: Fill level IN (Into Neck). Original capsule intact, with a small superficial scratch. Original label intact and legible, with moisture stains, superficial dirt, and signs of aging. Back label damaged. In good overall condition. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Celler Vall Llach was founded in the early 1990s by singer-songwriter Lluís Llach and Enric Costa in Porrera, one of the historic municipalities of the Priorat region. Their project is characterized by the restoration and cultivation of old vineyards, planted on the region’s characteristic slate or “llicorella” soils, which lend personality and depth to their wines. The 2001 vintage marks a particularly significant period in the international recognition of the great red wines of the Priorat. A limited-production wine, with 14,899 bottles listed on the label and bottled in May 2003, this wine features a concentrated and structured style, with notes of ripe black fruit, spices, minerals, and balsamic undertones.
