Original front labels, intact and legible, with superficial moisture stains of varying intensity, which do not affect the identification of the wine or the vintage. Original back labels preserved. Original Clos Mogador wooden case, labeled as the 2005 vintage and designed to hold six bottles, with a lid. From a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Clos Mogador is one of the leading names in the Priorat and one of the wineries at the forefront of this appellation’s renaissance. Founded by René Barbier in Gratallops, it produces wines with a distinct personality from vineyards situated on slopes of llicorella, the region’s characteristic slate. Its blend of Garnacha, Cariñena, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah combines the concentration of Mediterranean fruit with structure, freshness, and a deep mineral expression. The 2005 vintage, particularly acclaimed by international critics, offers a profile of ripe black fruit, cherry, licorice, spices, toasty notes, and hints of graphite and hot stone. This vintage also holds special historical significance due to its recognition as a “Vi de Finca Qualificada,” a pioneering distinction in the Spanish wine industry. The set of six bottles in its original wooden box makes for a particularly attractive presentation for collectors and enthusiasts of great age-worthy wines from the Priorat.
