Original black capsule intact, with a red embossed seal on top, in good condition. Original main label is complete and legible, with scattered stains from moisture and aging. Álvaro Palacios’s lower label is intact and legible, with superficial dirt. D.O.Q. Priorat guarantee seal on the back is complete and legible. Bottle is in good condition. It comes from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. L’Ermita is one of Spain’s great cult wines and Álvaro Palacios’s most iconic creation in the Priorat. It comes from a small, extraordinary vineyard located on the slopes of Gratallops, where the old vines sink their roots into the characteristic licorella soils, composed of slate that imparts a distinct mineral character. Made primarily from Garnacha, accompanied by small proportions of other varieties, it is characterized by very low yields, a rigorous selection of the grapes, and a carefully integrated aging in French oak. The 2000 vintage offers a profile of great concentration and depth, with aromas of ripe black fruits, plum, spices, licorice, Mediterranean herbs, and mineral notes. Its firm structure, enveloping texture, and long finish reflect the unique character of this vineyard. L’Ermita’s extremely limited production and international prestige make this 2000 vintage a particularly prized bottle among collectors of great Priorat wines.
