Original black capsule intact, with a red embossed seal on top showing slight surface scuffs. Original main label complete and legible, with isolated spots of moisture and aging. Álvaro Palacios’s lower label is complete and legible, with small scattered spots. The Priorat D.O.Q. guarantee seal on the back is intact and legible. The bottle is in good overall condition. It comes from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. L'Ermita is one of the most prestigious and unique expressions of the Priorat and is Álvaro Palacios’s most iconic wine. It originates from a small vineyard of old vines located on the slopes of Gratallops, on licorella soils—the region’s characteristic slate. Garnacha is the predominant variety, grown with very low yields and subjected to rigorous selection to produce a wine of great concentration, depth, and elegance. The 2002 vintage was marked by difficult weather conditions, which required particularly careful work in the vineyard. The wine is characterized by aromas of ripe red and black fruit, spices, Mediterranean herbs, balsamic nuances, and mineral notes, with a balanced structure and remarkable length.
