It comes from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Aurus is one of the most representative and exclusive wines from Finca Allende, a project spearheaded by winemaker Miguel Ángel de Gregorio in Briones, in the heart of Rioja Alta. It is crafted from a selection of grapes sourced from old-growth vineyards, predominantly Tempranillo, with a blend of Graciano that contributes to its structure and aromatic complexity. The wine combines Rioja’s winemaking tradition with a contemporary interpretation, characterized by a careful selection of raw materials and an aging process designed to enhance its depth and potential for evolution. The 2005 vintage represents a particularly noteworthy harvest in Rioja and offers a profile of ripe black fruit, spices, balsamic notes, licorice, toasty aromas, and mineral nuances. On the palate, it stands out for its concentration, structured tannins, and length.
