Dalmau, 2000. D.O.Ca. Rioja, La Rioja, Spain. Red wine. 6 bottles of 75 cl. With its original wooden box. Opened for inspection. Condition: Fill levels IN (Into Neck). Original capsules intact, with slight surface marks from storage. Original labels with extensive moisture stains, paper oxidation, and signs of aging; one of them shows significant paper loss and deterioration of the print. It retains its original wooden case. They come from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Dalmau is one of the most prestigious wines from Marqués de Murrieta, a historic Rioja winery founded in the 19th century and closely linked to the development of Spain’s great aged wines. It is made from a selection of grapes grown in the Canajas vineyard, within the Ygay estate, and is a blend primarily of Tempranillo with Cabernet Sauvignon and Graciano. Its production is characterized by a careful selection of the harvest and aging in French oak barrels, which imparts complexity and structure. The 2000 vintage reflects a highly concentrated style, with aromas of ripe black fruit, spices, cedar, and balsamic notes, supported by a firm structure and remarkable aging potential.
