These bottles come from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Dalmau is one of the flagship wines of Marqués de Murrieta, a historic Rioja winery founded in 1852 and steeped in the tradition of great Spanish aged wines. Made from a selection of grapes from the Canajas vineyard on the Ygay estate, it is a blend primarily of Tempranillo with Cabernet Sauvignon and Graciano. The 2005 vintage was aged for 19 months in new French oak barrels, as indicated on the back labels. It exhibits great structure and complexity, with notes of ripe black fruit, spices, cedar, cocoa, and balsamic nuances. Its exclusive nature, its potential for aging, and its recognition among the great wines of Rioja make Dalmau a particularly prized choice among collectors.
