Wine Enthusiast: 96/100. Condition: Fill levels at IN (Into Neck). Original black capsules intact, featuring the winery’s characteristic embossing on the top. Original front labels complete, clean, and perfectly legible, in very good condition. Back labels and D.O.Ca. Rioja guarantee seals are present, complete, and legible. Original individual wooden cases, inscribed with “Cirsion” and the 2005 vintage. They come from a private collection, stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Cirsion is one of the most exclusive wines from Bodegas Roda, a prestigious winery located in the Barrio de la Estación neighborhood of Haro and renowned for its contemporary interpretation of the great wines of Rioja. Its uniqueness lies in the selection of grapes from vines exhibiting exceptional phenolic ripeness, which yields an extraordinary concentration of ripe tannins and a particularly silky texture. Made primarily from Tempranillo, Cirsion combines intensity, depth, and elegance with a carefully integrated aging in French oak. The 2005 vintage, considered excellent in Rioja, offered favorable conditions for producing structured, balanced wines with great aging potential. Its profile is characterized by aromas of ripe black fruit, spices, cocoa, licorice, and delicate balsamic notes, accompanied by a full-bodied and persistent palate. Cirsion’s limited production, its international prestige, and the presentation of these two bottles in their respective original wooden boxes make this set a particularly attractive offering for collectors of fine Spanish wines.
