Cirsion is one of the most unique and exclusive wines from Bodegas Roda, founded in 1987 and located in the historic Barrio de la Estación neighborhood of Haro. Its production begins with an exceptional selection of grapes from old vines, chosen for their advanced phenolic ripeness, which yields wines of great depth and refined texture. Made primarily from Tempranillo, Cirsion combines concentration, elegance, and a remarkable capacity for aging in the bottle. The 2001 vintage, considered one of Rioja’s great historic vintages, offers a profile of ripe black fruits, spices, cocoa, balsamic notes, and tertiary nuances that have developed over time.
