Cirsion is one of the most distinctive wines produced by Bodegas Roda, a prestigious winery based in Haro and renowned for its contemporary interpretation of the great wines of Rioja. Born out of research into the exceptional maturation of certain grape varieties, it is produced through a rigorous selection of clusters from old vineyards. The 1999 vintage is made entirely from Tempranillo and underwent fermentation in French oak vats, followed by malolactic fermentation in barrels and an eight-month aging period in new French oak. It was a limited-production vintage, marked by spring frosts and favorable final ripening in October. It stands out for its concentration, silky texture, and aromatic complexity, with notes of black and red fruits, damp earth, cocoa, and violets. Its exclusive character, high critical acclaim, and Magnum format in individual wooden boxes make this set particularly appealing to collectors.
