Viña El Pisón, 2000. D.O.Ca. Rioja, Laguardia, Álava, Basque Country, Spain. Red wine. 6 bottles of 75 cl. In its original wooden box. Opened for inspection. Robert Parker (The Wine Advocate): 96/100. Condition: Liquid levels between 1 and 3 cm below the cork. Original maroon-colored capsules, intact, with the embossed inscription “El Pisón” in good condition. Original labels are complete and legible; two show slight moisture stains. The remaining labels are in good overall condition. Original back labels and D.O.Ca. Rioja seals preserved. Original wooden case labeled with the wine’s name, its origin in Rioja Alavesa, and the 2000 vintage. It comes from a private collection, where it was stored under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. Viña El Pisón is one of the most iconic single-vineyard wines of Rioja Alavesa. Produced by Artadi from Tempranillo grapes grown in a vineyard planted in 1945 in Laguardia, on clay-limestone soils, it is a unique expression of the terroir and the potential of the region’s old vines. The 2000 vintage stands out for its concentration, structure, and balance, with a profile that can offer notes of ripe black fruit, plum, licorice, spices, tobacco, and undergrowth, accompanied by mineral nuances and well-integrated tannins. Its status as an estate wine, limited production, and presentation of six bottles in its original wooden case further enhance the appeal of this set for collectors of great Spanish wines.
